I live in Riverbend. What parts of Winnipeg do you all live in?
I hope everyone had a good holiday. My DH and I are starting having a child. We have our first adoption appointment on Jan 24th...I really could use some encouragement. I also have been trying to stick to this diabetic diet the doctor gave me but its so hard everyday. The girls at work always want to go for lunches and coffee's and I could say no but I end up sitting at my desk and that just makes me a little sad.
Well I wish everyone a happy Friday and I look forward to getting to know all of you!
Take Care,

Meeting might be a neat idea. I just went to another dr and she was terrible. Its been a hard month of understanding what I should be doing and where to go from the last appointment. I am calling my doctor to talk and see what to do. Some people just don't get I guess. The specialist wouldn't listen to anything I said...I told her that my DH was not capable of producing children, so then she looked at me and said well if you weren't so overweight you would be pregnant by now. I said well I guess...and she said I wouldn't be surprised if you lost some weight you would be pregnant in about 3 months. I knew then she wasn't listening at all and was just looking at my weight.
Well that was my vent how is everyone doing?
Take Care,

I have had the month from HELL. Grandmother died, dog has diabetes (then went blind within like 2 weeks), caught mono, it's midterms (I'm a graduate student at U of M). The only good thing that happened is I got engaged (and so did two of my friends... weird) but that has been overshadowed by all the other crap in my life.
I've been looking to get together with PCOS ladies forever. Are you guys interested?

Twinklestarr, that "specialist" sounds cluless about pcos! I really hope that you go to another one that can give you more than "just lose weight" feel free to vent all you need! Many cysters can relate!
Suval you've really had a rough month! I'm very sorry to hear about your grandmothers passing....and also of your dog going blind from diabetes. Have you finished your midterms? And congratulations on your engagement!! |

Curious: what other areas on this site do you guys read frequently/post at?
Have a great rest of the week!

Suval I am sorry to hear about your loss and the bad week. I hope things have gotten better are you almost finished school?
How is everyone doing? I am pretty good to answer a few questions I post in the adoption section "Just getting Started" as my DH and I are just getting started on adoption. I have not seen another doctor yet I am wondering if I should be taking metformin...I can't decide what to do. Any advice? I am off for a shopping spree to the states this weekend! I can't wait.
Have a good weekend
