Hi everyone,
Not sure if this is the right place for this post but here goes!!
I was diagnosed with PCOS in early August last year and begun Clomid straight away.
The first 2 cycles nothing happened (didn't ovulate either) and on the 3rd cycle I got pregnant only to MC at 8 weeks that was 11/11. It was a natural miscarriage and I had a scan to ensure I didn;t need a D&C.
So fast forward to 2 1/2 weeks ago and I got my period and my DH and I decided to try again with the clomid. We went in for my day 13 scan and my specialist said nothing was happening with either ovary, but she found what she thought was a gestational sac in my uterus.
So I got sent off for a blood test to check hormone levels, and we weren't sure if I was pregnant ( I didn't think so) or had had an early misc.
The blood test came back negative, so my dr. said maybe it was a mis. but earlier than she thought, or the "sac" was a growth, but we'd see again in a week.
I went back on Wednesday to discover that the"sac" was still there and larger. She sent me for a scan with larger equipment then and there, and that doctor found that there were 3 cysts in my uterus.
They are apparently not placental tissue from the mis in November, not polyps and hopefully they "don't think they're cancerous"...but aren't sure what/why they are there.
So I have been booked in for a hysteroscopy and D&C on Tuesday.
Has anyone heard of this before or experienced similar? Also what exactly does the hysteroscopy do?
I'm trying not to be too anxious but both the specialist and my GP say it is unsusual and I guess it just puts us back a few months too.
Any advice would be appreciated!!
