Years ago, before I was diagnosed, my gyn thought she felt "something" and had me go in for an ultrasound to see if there was a cyst. The ultrasound found nothing, and later, the gyn couldnt feel what she felt before.

Now I have been diagnosed for two years, and I am wondering about that ultrasound. I was diagnosed without a new ultrasound, just on blood tests. I know not all women with PCOS have the small cysts, but is this something I need to know, if I do have them?

Cysts are supposed to come and go as part of your normal cycle...it's when there are too many and or get too big that there is an issue.

You may have had one that wasn't pcos related but cycle related....and it just went away on it's own.

Some women have them and they just kinda hang out there and don't cause too much trouble...sometimes they can be very painful...if you don't have pain and things are functioning on a normal level then cysts are too big of a deal. Sadly they usually cause some kind of discomfort.
