 Cysts aggravated by BC
I'm not sure if terribly many people have this problem, but here I go. I was diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago and since my diagnosis things have gone from bad to worse, and they were bad to begin with.
I have several cysts in my left ovary, in it not on it, and one larger cyst on my right ovary. This cysts are all becoming inflamed near constantly, like if I am off anti-inflammatories, they are inflamed. Since I have been on BC my pain has gotten 100 times worse. The pain is constant, I miss a lot of work and cry just about daily. I'm on Tylenol 3s until further notice, but they don't do much for me. Every BC I try has the same results, though since I have been on my current one, Seasonal I can't describe how much worse it is. When I am not on BC, I do have pain but it is manageable with Tylenol 3.
My conclusion from all this is that BC is effecting my cysts but my doctors just want to keep switching my BC. They're only concerned about my menstruations, which for the record are worse with BC. Like, I can't eat or move for the entire time.
I was wondering if anyone else has had cysts react this way to BC and what they're doctors have suggested. I have an appointment to refill my pain meds and I would really prefer to treat the problem, rather than the symptoms. I don't want to keep taking Tylenol 3 every few hours, it isn't healthy. |
