Default Cysts disappear and reappear?

A month ago, I went to the ER with right sided back pain (I thought it was a kidney stone). Ten days later a CAT scan showed 2 ovarian cysts, one on each side and one was dermoid. I followed up at my primary care's office with another CAT scan, now I have one cyst on the right side, no notation on what kind it was, but size 3.6x2.1cm.

On Friday (2 weeks later), I havd a pelvic ultrasound and saw my new gyn...no cyst found. She looked at me like I had 3 heads. She said there is no evidence I had or have anything there. However, pain has stayed exactly the same. She said that CAT scans are hard to read. I get that, but 2 differenet hospitals reading 2 different scans?

Anyone else have a cyst with pain that wasn't in the pelvis, and anyone have them disappear? My primary care told me to go back to the gyn, and said that ovarian cysts shrink and swell all the time. I see him on Thursday to talk about this, but what am I supposed to say to the gyn? That my doc doesnt believe her?

I am so stressed out. This is 5 weeks now I have been in pain. Any thoughts?

Yes, they can shrink and dissappear or grow larger with your cycle. Or they can come and stay as mine has, lol

If they shrink or go away, shouldn't the pain be gone?

I have heard of them going away and coming back but yes the pain should go away if they go away. I have severe pelvic pain and they thought it was cysts but i have no cysts.. it stinks.. feel better

I have had the same thing happen, but you know what was missed by one doctor? The fluid from the cyst bursting! The excess fluid from a cyst bursting can cause pain until it's reabsorbed, I promise, lol! OUCH!
