On another board I belong to, one of the gals wrote that she found out that a person can have ovarian cysts but NOT have PCOS? To me, that doesn't make sense as I thought ovarian cysts were the hallmark characteristic of PCOS? Am I wrong or is she?

No, that's a total misconception... Cysts aren't really part of the PCOS diagnosis.
In fact, some people are trying to change the name of PCOS since it's so misleading...
The woman on the other board is correct that you can have polycystic ovaries without having polycystic ovary SYNDROME. In fact, its quite common for women to have cysts on their ovaries...

Kudos to my good friend, Jesse who is in the Air Force. He's got a lot more guts than I do, currently stationed in Nevada and looking forward to deployment in January. Kudos also to Jason, stationed in Dover...keep safe on your flights, BIL! To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Then I think the syndrome SHOULD be renamed then, to make it a more accurate description. Thanks Kat!
