My Mood: Points: 10,364.41 Bank: 1,561.95 Total Points: 11,926.36 | Cytomel seems to be making a difference Hello all,
I've been on Levoxyl-only replacement for 5+ yrs with so-so energy. This June my Dr. let me add a tiny dose of Cytomel daily, once in morning in once in afternoon (because cytomel is short-acting). Ended up needing to lower my levoxyl a smidge to get the right dosage.
After a few months of this, I felt a little better, but not great. I saw the Dr. last week and she said I could "play with the timing" of my cytomel. So I decided to take it all in the AM, same time as levoxyl. It has made a big difference! I feel like my energy level is more consistent now. Although I'm not out doing cartwheels or anything, I feel like I have energy leftover after doing some work. I really hope this lasts!

Points: 7,779.05 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 7,779.05 | i was on synthroid for about a year. I was still having hypo symptoms when my TSH was 1 something and my T3 and T4 were in the right range so I asked to be switched to Armour. The doc had mentioned something about Cytomel, but then didn't want to give it to me saying something about it making people lose weight (I'm not overweight). That's fine with me though. Armour has been working well for me. My hair has finally stopped falling out all over the place. I still have some falling out, but I think it's more in the normal range now. I definately wouldn't recommend it to you (right now anyway) because you're going so well on the combo you're already on.
