Default Cytotec/misoprostol..any experience??

After waiting for about a week to naturally m/c, I decided to try the drug Cytotec/Misoprostol. My Dr said that most likely it would take affect and start me cramping/bleeding within 12 hours and if not, then to take another dose at 12 hours. Well...I took a dose of it last night around 10P hoping that by the morning something would start happening...nothing did, just a little cramping. So I decided to take another dose at 10A. I had a some stronger cramping and back pain later in the day, but still not spotting at all. I did notice a yellowish type discharge on my liner though..mucus maybe..but not bleeding. It has now been over 24 hours since my first dose and all cramping has stopped.

Any of you taken this drug and had this experince? Did m/c eventually happen or what did your Dr say about this?

Thanks!

{{{HUGS}}} isadora, I am so sorry you are going through this. I would suggest that you call your doctor and let he or she know what is going on. I'm sorry I can't be much help because I had a natural m/c. My experience was different from what you are describing because I had the bleeding and spotting before I started cramping. Once again, I am very sorry for your loss.

I don't have any experience with this drug - with my first loss, my OB wrote me a script but I never filled it; I opted for a D&C instead. I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss.
