Default D&C experiences

Ok so I had to go in this morning and get one and I tell ya don't ask me how I ever had a child but I am a HUGE baby when it comes to pain, and having a D&C is painful to me. Yea it just feels like bad cramping but still.

Does anyone know how many days you continue to bleed afterwards? I am so in a hurry to quit bleeding, after 2 months of this crap I am exhausted.

Thanks! Yes it is horrible feeling I am still bleeding and I thought after the D&C it wold stop I guess not. I am just so tired of all this ya know. Thanks for the post!!! I will just have to cope I guess.

Oh I did have medication I wasn't in pain or how can I explain it, I was but it was a very bad cramp and very uncomfortable kinda pain. Last night I didn't sleep becasue I was cramping so bad so I ended up taking 1000mg of pain medication!

Looks like that D&C didn't work for me! I am so frustrated right now I could scream!!! I finally talked to the doctor this morning and she asked how I felt and I told her like Shyt! And she said you haven't stopped bleeding?!?!?! I am like NOPE! And then she said well lets try the 5, 4, etc BC pills a day and if when you get to the 2 a day and it continues to flow we will have to stick you in the hospital, thing is I forgot to ask what for? What is next, I was so worried about leaving here (work) to go get my BC pills at home to start taking them becasue I have to take 5 today! It worked last week but when I got to the 1 a day she showed her face again, which was the reason for the D&C grrrr I am so tired, even feeling the effects of losing so much blood! I am sleeping and I have no energy! Blah!!!

What could be the problem???

chula, thats good you finally stopped.... i hated that feeling of never ending bleeding... although i think i will have to induce a period soon (I HAVENT HAD OEN IN A FEW MONTS) so im sure that will kick off the bleeding again for monthsssssssssssssss. the provera makes me feel liek crap too, almost like a case of the flue but worse because nothing relieves it! ugh.

so glad you are feeling better though, just rest up.

I had D&C in 2000 Chula and I didn't bleed afterwards thanks goodness, I had enough of that for the 30+ days before that! I had it done cause I was bleeding before for like a month or more like you. The problem was I would go for like 3 months with no AF and then BOOM! Like the dam broke or something! REALLY BAD! I also had a miscarriage I am sure of it right before the D&C. Have you gone for long periods before this without one? My Dr said it's like not cutting your grass for a LONG time and then all of the sudden you try to cut it and it takes FOREVER! I actually had to take prescription iron pills because my blood count was so low! I felt like a walking corpse! I hope everything gets better for you! ((((HUGS))))! Let us know! I don't take bcp cause we are ttc but I have taken the provera and clomid also to help with the ovulating. I think when I took clomid I took it on the 3rd day of my AF and it stopped the bleeding. I don't know your situation with ttc but maybe the bcp will help!

Hve you been diagnosed for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding? It is common in women with PCOS. I have it and it sounds like you do to. I have to take extra bcp's when mine starts up too. There is some type of balloon surgery for it, but I haven't looked into it much and do not have any information on it. But maybe you could google it or talk to your dr about it.
