Exclamation D&C and haven't stopped bleeding

It's been 10 days now since my D&C and the bleeding hasn't let up or changed. Still red and still fairly heavy. Anyone else bleed this long and when did yours stop? I was at 12 weeks...

I'm 5 days into my Yaz cycle and I thought would make it stop but I guess not.

Ditto on the two to two and a half weeks. If you're passing large clots still or have extremely heavy bleeding call the doctor. They may not have gotten everything out.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I don't think you should be bleeding this much 10 days after a D&C. I lost a lot of blood during my D&C, and 2 days later had to go back for a blood transfusion because I was still bleeding so much. They found that I had some retained placenta.

If I were you, I would call your doctor TODAY and go in for an ultrasound just to be safe. if it's too late, then I would go to the ER for an u/s.

Especially if your BCPs aren't stopping it, it could very easily be a something physical (retained placenta) rather than something hormonal.

I don't want to scare you, but it's one of those deals where it's better safe than sorry.

Until then, try to keep your feet up as much as possible to slow the bleeding.

Good luck! let us know what happens!
