Default D&C yesterday at 10 weeks....

and I'm just confused, sad, angry and so many other emotions. 9 years to get a BFP and this is what happens. Does anyone know when we can try again?

I would honestly call who did the D&C or your Ob and ask. What I've read is that they scrape away your lining during the process so you have to let it build back up to an extent.

I did a google search and this is the best link I have for you:

I am so sorry for your loss. *hugs*

I am sorry for your loss. I also had a d & c for a missed miscarriage. It was July 31st. Our dr said we didnt have to wait to try again. We could start trying as soon as we were comfortable. She didnt mention I might be fertile after the d & c. We concieved before my next period and I am now almost 11 wks along. We intended on waiting until Jan 2010 to start trying medicaitions we had not been able to get pg without. But my body had other plans.

So sorry for your loss. It is so hard. I had a D&C on September 25th when I was 8 weeks. I don't ovulate on my own and I always need Femara to ovulate. My doctor wants me to wait 35 days from when my HCG levels went down (they considered it "down" to non-pregnancy levels when I was 5.5...they usually want it to be less than 5, which took about 3.5 weeks after the D&C) before I start progesterone to bring on my period. Then we'll be trying again that next month. So, to answer your question, my doctor wanted us to wait one cycle. Best of luck to you.

My dr asked me to wait one cycle, but she didn't have a good reason why. I did lots of research on the net, and many sites said, they only ask you to wait for dating purposes, not health purposes. Therefore we tried immediately, got pg before I got AF, and had a healthy baby girl. Good luck. Praying your next one will come quickly and be sticky.

I'm in the same boat. I'm having a d&c next week if I don't go on my own. I'm 9 weeks and have no idea what to expect. This was very good info.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had to go for a D&C on October 4th and still having the same feelings as you. I'm not sure how long you have to wait till you can try again. I know it won't ease the pain, but, I'll pray the next one is a keeper.

I think that you should ask your dr. However, I have had two miscarriages and a D&C with both. The recommendation was to wait until emotional ready and after first AF. Reasoning why was so that the lining could repair properly and so that if anything was missed it would shed during this time. If this retained placenta/material is still there when you get pg again could cause another miscarriage. I know this is an emotional roller coaster. Also, it took a little over six weeks for AF to return this last time.

Sorry for your loss. Best of luck.

When I had my first m/c they said I could start trying as soon as I felt emotionally ready but I did not have to have a D&C I m/c naturally!!!
