Default A/D prescription w/out sexual side effects

I have happily been on Wellbutrin 150mg, for almost 8 years now. I love it, almost no side effects for me, hasn't killed my sex drive except now ((of course)) DH has a complaint about it. The one side effect it does have on me is that I am cold a lot of the time, it's mostly in the house, and I think it has to do with use keeping the a/c on so low for the baby. So the common areas, babys room is kept at 66 degrees. So in the middle of summer I have on sweats, two shirts and socks.

He's now started yelling at me to find something better than Wellbutrin that won't make me cold. I have tried Googling many of the new/newer A/D drugs such as Lexapro, Effexor, Prestiq, etc. All list diminished sex drive as a side effect and so it seems many docs are prescribing the other drugs with Wellbutrin and not many had good things to report.

Does anyone here take anything for depression that doesn't have a ton of side effects and cause their sex drive to be killed

Thanks!

Oooh, Mere...that's a tough one, especially since the docs seem to go to Wellbutrin to counteract the sexual side effects caused by the others. When I complained about a lack of sex drive when I was Zoloft, I got Wellbutrin to go with it. I got switched to Effexor, and still kept the Wellbutrin, and still no sex drive. When I added Lamictal, it changed nothing--still no sex drive.

I don't know what the answer is, and it's tough to find a doctor who does or is willing to help you try to find one. When I brought it up to my psych, she said, "Yeah, that happens sometimes." It was actually my OBGYN who prescribed the Wellbutrin when I complained to him.

But, then again...who knows? Maybe some of my issues are caused by some of the other stuff we've talked about.

Yeah I told hubby that I didn't care that he wanted me to change meds, I was happy with Wellbutrin and staying on it I looked and looked and didn't find anything else that I even sounded promising.
