Have you tried changing shampoos? For me, when I use the same shampoo for too long, I start to get dandruff. Instead, I hvae a few different types of shampoos and I rotate through them. Maybe it's just me, haha -- but my mom does the same thing even though she doesnt have PCOS and it stops dandruff.

I always thought I had dandruff too... The lady who cuts my hair told me it wasn't dandruff... She said it was dry scalp & there's a difference... Dandruff shampoos will not help it... She told me to switch to a PH balanced shampoo... Now I use Biolage Hydrotherapy & never have flakes... If I run out & go to something cheap & get dry scalp within a week...

In my personal opinion, the best shampoo to use for dandruff is called Nizoral. It comes in a dark blue bottle and you can get it at most drug stores or general stores (like Wal Mart). It is a little on the pricey side-like $15 a bottle-BUT-you don't have to use it every day. I found when I used it I only needed a small amount once every two or three months. It's worth it-I would check it out. I tried other dandruff shampoos like Head and Shoulders and it made my hair extremely greasy. Hope this helps.
