Sarrah, sounds like you just have some chaffing from the bra. If it's only in those two spots where your bra rubs that's probably all it is.

Default 75 % improvement

I used porcelana fading cream and showed improvement in a week. I bought it at CVS and used it 2 weeks before having to wear a sleeveless dress. However, my sister used it and it didn't help her much. It comes in two kinds, one is a moisturizer and the other has a grainy texture. I used the grainy texture and I didn't follow the direction. Instead I applied it on my underarms after I shower and leave it on all night long. Direction says leave it on for 30 min then rinse but I wanted fast improvement.

I also have KP (keratosis pilaris) so I use pumice all over my arms and use Eucerin with alpha hydroxy...I sometimes use it on my underarms too coz I heard alpha hydroxy might help fade it too.

I too have all the things that you mention. Is there any other cream that you know of for the lightening of the skin. It is very embarrassing to even try and be sexy and intimate with my husband. Of, course he says don't worry about it but that's hard to do. Do I just sit and wait for something to happen? I'm already on Metformin for sometime now. I don't see anything different.

I also have AN on my neck, inner thighs and underarms. When I saw my Dermatologist she said topical solutions would not work all that well at reducing the discoloration. She said the only way to lessen AN or the possibility of getting rid of it is to lose weight, stay away from sugar, and highly processed foods.

I have been one to stress over my skin sometimes to the point I actually think I am making it worse. I have been trying to focus my energy on changing my eating, versus putting all my negative energy into my skin.. It is very hard to monitor my thoughts, but I am just doing the best I can..

I have never had AN before but I gather this is it? I just is where the bra rubs though and not on neck , thighs or underarms well sort of around underarms where bra sticks in at side?
I had some under my breasts. My underarms, inner thighs, and under my breasts. My underarms have been dark since puberty. The inner thighs and breasts were when I gained a bunch of weight. I went on glucophage and the inner thighs and under my breasts are pretty much gone. My underarms have gotten much lighter, but still darker than my very white skin.

I have the dark patches of skin on my thigh area, neck and underarms. My neck and thighs have been dark since I was very very young. I remember thinking it was dirt and I would scrub and scrub until it would turn red. It wasnt until I was diagnosed in 2001 with PCOS that I figured out what it was. I had lost a lot of weight at one time and did notice the darkening got very light on my neck. It was almost not even visible. I do believe what you eat and how much plays a big factor.

i have the patches of the dark velvety skin under my bra line and my underarms. i just got diagnosed with PCOS a couple months ago. i asked my doc about those patches last year and she told me they were just dry skin and to put some lotion on and scrub good. boy was she wrong huh.

At least I wasn't the only one who didn't know. I guess it's b/c it's slightly embarassing and you don't really talk about it much.

That's why I came in here! I just scrubbed the heck out of my ankle, thinking the little dark splotches were dirt. In mid scrub, it dawned on me that it may be what I'd read on here. Good LORD! Not only do people think I'm lazy and gross for being overweight, they'll think I'm nasty and dirty too!

I wanted to clarify - the darkness on my ankle is just little spots. It's not one big patch of dark. I just googled and, well, I shouldn't have.

lol

I have it too - on my neck, both on the sides and behind; also my underarms, and upper thighs, smaller different patches on my knees and elbows - have had it for a long time.

The neck bit comes and goes depending on my IR. It got REALLY bad a couple of months ago. I've only been on met again for 3 weeks, and I've already seen an improvement.

I don't think I've ever lost enough weight to get the other patches to improve, but the neck one is the worst! I even had a co-worker friend notice it a couple of months ago (talk about embarassing).

I have it under my breasts, under my arms, and really bad in the groin/inner thighs. I hate it. I am very self-conscious about it, so badly that I once tried putting whitening cream on my hoo-ha.
