daughters 1st period Hi Everyone,
I was diagnosed with pcos last September and in June of this year, my 12 year old daughter was diagnosed also. She was put on Metaformin, and has been doing very well on it. The other day, my daughter and I went for our usual after dinner walk, and when we got home, she went into the bathroom. She called me in and showed me her underwear..there was a blood spot about the size of a quarter there, and she said there was blood on the toilet paper after she wiped herself. I was so excited for her and gave her a pad to put on and explained some of the necesseties about her first period with her. Well, the thing of it is, that was the only sign of blood she had and that was about 3 days ago. That was it! Is that common for the first period? I got mine when I was 15, and that was 21 years ago, but I thought I had mine for about 4 or 5 days...She has to go back to her doctor on Sept 16, and I'm going to be sure to tell him about this, but I was hoping maybe one of you out there might be able to fill me in on anything you might know.
Thanks in advance,
