I have had one horrible day. Please pardon me, but I need to get this out...
After 35 years, I finally found the right man to have a baby with. We had been trying for 1 & 1/2 years to conceive when I was dx with PCOS. Shortly after being treated for PCOS, I missed my period and we where pregnant. I was in shock and thrilled. I couldn't believe it was real. Everyday I would wake up and thank God for my little bean and my DH. and everything was going fabulous. Until last night.
I was scheduled for my first u/s today 10/7/04. For weeks I couldn't wait to hear my baby's heartbeat and finally it was almost here. Upon arriving home the night before my u/s, I started spotting and had some mild cramping. I had had no problems before this and was did some reading about spotting. I calmed myself and rested the whole night. The bleeding subsided and had nearly stopped when I was getting ready for my u/s. I showered and my dh and I went to the appointment. As I was sitting in the waiting room I felt cramps again thought they might be gas cramps. When the nurse called my name to go into the u/s room, a warm gush flowed out of me. OH NO, this is not happening, I thought. I quickly went to the bathroom to "empty my bladder" and when I pulled down my pants I saw bright red. I was horrified and panic hit me. I started crying and opened the door. There stood the nurse and my DH. I blurted "something is not right", and the nurse tried to calm me down and performed u/s. I was bleeding a lot now, so much that My DH and I had to grab sheets to catch it. I was crying and just wanted to go home. That is all I can write for now. Thanks for understanding...

This is a very difficult time that you are going through. My first loss was discovered on the u/s. I didn't have any signs, no bleeding or cramps. Like you I was looking so foreward to hearing the hb for the first time, only to discover that my baby didn't have one. I had what they call a missed miscarriage. My second loss was similar to your in that I did miscarry it. The blood is so horrifying. I can honestly say that I know what you are going through. If you need to talk please pm me anytime.
Janet,
You are among friends here. Unfortunately we understand this horrible feeling and truly empathize. There will be better days in the future when you are ready, although it is so hard to believe right now. You are definitely in my thoughts. Take time for yourself, cyster.
