Cindy, can you set your alarm for an hour before you wake up and take the DCI? Then you'll eat when you get up and maybe you wont have the nausea.

I emailed chiral balance and they recommended taking it on an empty stomach. In fact, here is his response on why:

"We recommend waiting a few minutes (30-45) between taking DCI and eating your first meal. This gives the DCI time to reach the target tissues and respond to the insulin secreted after eating."

Perfectly safe with Metformin. In fact, its a good idea to take both, they may compliment each other!?

I was in the process of ordering my first batch of DCI when I realized that Chiral Balance is a local company. Who knew?!

So I e-mailed and arranged to pick up my batch this afternoon, and I'm on the DCI trip with everyone else now.

Hi Herbsgirl,

Thanks for all the information on both the DCI and myo-inositol. Where do you purchase the myo-inositol? I just started DCI but am thinking about trying the myo-inositol as well with the DCI.

Thanks for all the information.

Myo-Inositol is the name for just regular Inositol supplements. I ordered the powdered kind for myself, because if I took the pill kind, it would take alot of pills to make 4,000 mg. It wont take much powder to make that much, though. Vitacost and iherb.com both have Inositol (as well as alot of other places) Those are among my favorite places to order though.

This is the one I got, it is more concentrated for less money, I will only have to take around 2 tsp daily to get over 4 grams.

Default just started

I just started taking the chiral balance 1200mg in the am....its been a week, no changes yet. I O'ed with the DCI muffins but they were becoming a pain to make. Im hoping for positive results with just DCI.

Are there any people out there who have been on DCI awhile? If so, are their periods regular now? How many have gotten pregnant? How many people are on this supplement?

Tamara

Thanks for the information Herbsgirl. How do you figure out the amount of myo-inositol to take? I went to the website and it said a 1/4 tsp. Do you use the same calculation as for the DCI?

I have to say I have been on DCI since Saturday. Prior to that I was having pain on the right ovary which is gone so I am hoping my body is resetting itself. I generally overall feel better.

I am so glad I found this website. It has such great information and you all are so helpful.

Have a good day!!!

Hi all,

I just wanted to share my experience with everyone, and hope someone may find it helpful.

My husband and I tried to conceive for about a year, and no luck. I came across this forum and ordered two bottles of DCI.

At the time I started my first bottle, my period was about 3 months late. After taking it for about a month and half, my period came! Who would've thought having a period was suchn joyful event!

I continue taking DCI, it is now the 6th week since my last period. I was having doubts about DCI. So my husband and I went to OBGYN this morning and hoping to find a way to get us pregnant.

and GUESS WHAT!?!??! The doctor just told us that we are PREGNANT.

I am not sure if it is really DCI that helped, but I will recommend everyone to give a try. I know I did and it worked!

But does anyone know if it is safe to take during pregnancy?

Hi Tamara,

I've been on DCI about 2 and a half months. I'm about 125 lbs, so I started with 600 mg, then bumped it to 1200 mg a few weeks later. I've also been doing a low-GI diet about the same length of time. So far, my mental fuzziness has lifted and I have more energy, but my guess is that would probably happen to anyone who cut out refined sugar. As for AF and O... no sign of either. I was wanting to try these first so as not to have to do Met, but due to lack of progress I went on Met anyway a couple weeks ago.
