I've read that it's more effective to spread your dose out, DaisyJ, so that sounds like a good plan. (I've had some mild headachey issues with starting out with a full dose of DCI, and spreading out the dosage might help alleviate that sort of thing, as well.)

Thanks Felinity, I actually started out taking my whole dose when I woke up in the morning. However, when I didn't feel too much of a difference and saw that other ladies were spreading it out, I decided to split it up in two, so now I am thinking.. maybe spread it out in 3 doses instead - hope it works! I bought about 3 month supply so I will continue this journey and cross my fingers that I will see some real results.

Let me know if you find it more effective! I'm definitely looking for some effectiveness strategies, but I have a hard time timing my doses.

Unhappy

Hi everyone,

I am excited to see the success everyone is having with DCI.

So today I found out that my second round of IVF failed

I need something else to give me hope and came across the information about DCI. I live in Canada and was thinking about going to the Nutters to see if they carry it.

I am taking a well needed break from IVF for a while and was thinking about trying something natual to get my AF to come. I have never really had a regular AF.

If I decided to go with DCI how would I take it and should I take anything else with it?

Thanks

Hi Girls,
Just an update on my progress with DCI & MI
1) Appetite is stable : I teach yoga/pilates and when I get home I could eat anything for supper, I have not had supper on any work night, I think my cells are getting the energy they need. Yoga/meditation has especially help my PCOS
2) Moods much better
3) Not needing my shave my legs as much, usually everyday.
4) Having to change my food habits. Eating about 30% less.
5) Less fat on my tummy.
6) still vivid dreams.
7) Using OPK to work out if combo will change from 33-38 day cycle to less

I was wondering if it is does dependant? If you have a higher BMI, do you need more.

Read study on PCOS brothers, my bro is very overweight and depressed. I gave him
MI and he is losing weight and much happier. Great to see, I was worried about him.

I agree with previous post, PCOS has a long history in most of our bodies, it may need higher doses and a longer time. I have seen results quick, keep going and
give more time, I believe it treats the root cause. Good luck to us all.

Huggles - Bella Dee

Herbsgirl - thank you for posting about taking Vitex to stop AF. I started taking it last Tuesday and I think it has finally stopped. I am going to continue taking it. I have been taking 2 a day. I also ordered supernow vitamins which I read on a different post you were taking and starting taking those today.

Rosegeranium - thanks for the info on the lower price through Anne. I ordered DCI from her on Saturday even though I still have about a months supply. I wasn't exactly sure how long it would take to receive so I knew that would be plenty of time.

Hi Herbsgirl - Vitex seems like a good addition to the natural alternatives approach to PCOS. Do you know (or anyone out there) if it is safe to have whilst pregnant or better still has anyone continued to use throughout the pregnancy?

Thanks for any info

Janaki: I have had the same question for a while. All I have been able to find is that it is a good idea to slowly ween yourself off of it because suddenly stopping when preg can cause a m/c. I wish I had a definite answer for you but I don't. Some women I've read take Femaprin (Vitex) until confirmed O then stop taking it, I guess this would take away the need to ween off of it to avoid m/c. But then again, you're supposed to take it EVERY day...I don't know, I haven't decided fully what to do myself yet.

narcissa bell: I think you will love DCI! I know I do. GL! I tried looking at your chart and couldn't, just thought you oughta know.

Chrissy: So glad it's helping!

Default So..

I went to the doc today and I am starting progesterone to induce a period and then starting on clomid. I am stopping the vitex but I am still going to take the DCI. We weren't going to do all this until January but hubby is so excited now. I just wish I didn't have the scans, I have to pay a 50 copay every other day for a couple days for the scans, which I guess isn't too much. I'm so scared and anxious and nervous though, but excited and can't believe we are finally doing this.

The DCI has been helping trim my belly a little, its not so nasty lookin even though weight has not changed. Still seeing good results in the hair department and all that.

Does anyone know if its safe to take the DCI while you're pregnant?
