Default DCI questions...

So, after reading the few studies done on DCI for PCOSers, I decided to buy some from chiral balance. I am a lean cyster and not IR at all, so RE refuses to let me try met. I thought this might be something to give a shot and see what happens.

Have any of you used DCI? If so, did you discuss it with your RE first? I'm nervous to try a supplement without RE's approval, though considering their stance on met, I'm guessing they'll not be in favor.

Thoughts? Experiences? Do you think it's safe?

Thanks!

hey! I don't know much about DCI but I have been taking regular inositol. I believe DCI is a more potent. I have been taking inositol and choline for over a month now and have been off birth control for over a month and a half. My hairloss has signficantly reduced, no longer fall asleep following a meal, and I have yet to break out with acne. According to many sources online there is no known toxicity to inositol or dci. If you do overdose you will just get diarreah. I think it is worth a shot, and if it can help you, you are far better off taking the natural stuff than prescription.

I take inositol and choline. I didn't check with my Dr. It's not known to have any toxicity or cause hypoglycemia (which is what Met can do if you're not IR and it's NOT a good thing). If you do a search here on the forum or just look for the topic headers, there's been a lot of talk on here lately about DCI, inositol, and choline. There's updates and success stories and other good info. If you haven't already, read thru those threads, I'm sure you'll find much of what you're wondering about it thru there too. Good luck and if you give it a try, join in posting about your success and experience!

DCI is a form of B vitamin, so if you would take a B vitamin or multivitamin supplement without a doctor's supervision, then there isn't any reason not to take the DCI...
