Question Dealing with Side Effects, what foods are and absolute NO for You?

For those who are dealing with the side effects of Met, are there any foods that you find are an absolute NO to eat?

I have been taking Met for 13 months now and still occasionally suffer the G/I side effects. Things have been great lately but I noticed that I still can't eat certian foods. For example:

Eggs for breakfast - boiled, scrambled (using only a non stick pan and no oil), etc. Can't tolerate them, within 2-4 hours I am in the bathroom all day.

Salads for lunch or dinner - I used to love salads. Can't toerate them anymore. I thought maybe it was the dressing so I have tried various dressings (low fat, no fat, to just salsa) and it didn't make a difference.

Anyone else have this problem? What other foods have you found you can no longer eat?

Thanks,

Lana

Iceberg lettuce is the worst! I use baby spinach leaves now for my salad, but I can tolerate bibb and a few other darker ones.

Ice cream even in small portions is the worst for me!

Good luck!

Default No Peas Please!!

Oh boy did I discover the big no-no of peas! Here I was thinking that most veggies are GOOD right? Wrong!!

I ate an extra helping of peas and I was up all night!!!

Just FYI: Peas are bad for you if you are TTC and they are bad for men to while TTC...something in them affects your hormones.

Iceberg lettuce has been the #1 no-no for me. But, if the salad is made with romaine lettuce or baby spinach..........no troubles!

Default No eggs thank you!

I also have a bigggggg problem with eggs. I think its because of their high fat content. I have noticed that I really have to watch my fay intake or I am blowing and going all day. I feel like a Salad Shooter!

So far,

-I decided eggs do that to me as well, although I can eat them in something baked or like a mock pancakes recipe. It's plain as in scrambled, boiled, in a soup w/ only eggs and broth.

-Spaghetti Squash: This is a new one! I had a dish the other day and after awhile.. bathroom time!

-I haven't really had the iceberg lettuce factor yet, and for that I'm thankful. These are all I've noticed in about 5 weeks of met. I notice extra side effects if I'm not eating properly also, as in not enough calories.

Default Thanks everyone

THank you for your replies. I see I am not the only one who can't eat eggs or salads much anymore!

I have noticed that there are some days that I can tolerate some foods and others that I can't. I guess one day I will figure it out!!

Thank you!
