My Mood: Points: 483.05 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 483.05 | Decision to Make I have a decision to make and I wanted to see if anyone has been through the same situation. I have been on Chlomis for 8 cycles and now my cervix does not have enough mucus. My next two options are to use fertility shots everyday and be closely monitered, then on day 16 get the shot to make me ovulate and try from there to get Pregnant. My other choice is to take Femarra a drug very similar to chlomid but without the side effects, then on day 16 the shot to make me ovulate and then go through the insemination process. With my insurance coverage they will both cost about the same so I am stuck with which route I should take?? The fertility drugs will get me to produce more eggs but there is no gaurentee that the little guys will make it into my uterus. With the insemintion process, I may have only and one egg but I will know that all the little guys make it into the uterus to al least have a chance at fertiliztion. If you have any info that would help, that would be great!!! Thanks |

Your body can build up a resistance to it. I would ask the doc. if that would have any effect on any of the other fertility drugs. If not, then I'd probably try the Femara with the shot and IUI (insemination). Good luck.

I am a femara + injectibles + IUI combo, and so far it has worked well, still no BFP but it is not because of ovulation issues. I take 2 pills of femara for 5 days, then 3 days with 75ml shots of gonal F and then trigger shot and IUI.
I believe you can do a combo and see how it works for you... I usually have 2 or 3 eggies ready for trigger with this combo so the response is good.
Good luck !! To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
