Much like my father, I can't really wear synthetics because the result is when I sweat (especially if nervous) it smells like cat pee... If I wear natural fibers like cotton, less of a problem. Sometimes even just a cotton undershirt/tanktop helps.
I try not to drink coffee either if I know I'll be in meetings and such, because I can smell the difference in my sweat. Perfumes can react to different body chemistry too.
For every day use I use Dove. I don't like using anything higher octane than necessary. If it's moderate use, I'll use the crystal deodorant and Dove... if I'm really high stress (interviews, work trips etc) I'll use Degree or the Arm&Hammer high strength stuff. It clogs my pores though so I use it sparingly.

A few months ago, I switched to the secret clinical strength. Thinking to myself, if this works, it is worth the price because of all the money and hassle non-working deodorants have caused me. I am glad I did because nothing smells and feels better than clean and I finally found it with this deodorant. |

Secret Clinical Strength is the only thing that worked for me. I just bought the new Dove Clinical Strength and it works just as well. And the Dove comes in cucumber melon scent

I get that funky onion smell and it goes on my clothes. I wash underneath my arms once a day. I think I am going to try Secret clinincal strength.

My Mood: Points: 9,831.12 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 9,831.12 | I am so happy to be fat, hairy and smelly... NOT... I have found that the Secret Clinical works the best, especially if I follow the directions and put it on at night. I definitely think it has to do with the hormones since I recently tried Yasmin and my BO was horribly off to me... not that I enjoy the smell, but I know it is *my* smell and when I tried Yasmin I was constantly wondering what yeti was following me around the house. I know for some gals this may sound gross or impossible... but try giving your pits a break every now and again from the chemical bath, this always seems to help for me.
Also, BORAX is the best thing ever for getting ucky smells out (and brightening) your laundry. It is an old-school laundry booster that you just sprinkle in on top of the water & soap and it can get rid of any smell! It has lots of other uses too and is all natural Also, if you get those fun yellow sweat rings and stains, trying soaking your stains in salt water & borax... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, I think it depends on how well set those marks are.... |

High aluminum levels have been found in most all alzheimers patients, so there may be a connection. Natural deoderants such as Tom's or other's found at health stores contain no aluminum. We do absorb the chemicals in deodorant, so just a warning!
