mitchum has always been my saving grace.

But here's something else that may be going wrong- if you're using a stick or roll on you could be neutralizing the whole thing with contact. Sprays, creams, and even the gels sometimes work better because of this.

As for the Aluminum- Yep its also thought to have ties with breast cancer.

I don't want to seem stupid but what is an irish potato?
I have a mild problem to deodorant not working. But most clinical strength deodorants use aluminum salts to clog your pores and thats how they work. But I read that aluminum salts cause Alzheimers(not that I'm old but I will be someday lol ).. the potato seems like a natural alternative.

Hey I am a Lady Mitchum fan..... I have to change.... After y'all mentioned aluminium is a cause for Alheizmers.. I checked my deorderant. Low and behol Aluminium is the # 1 ingredient. Can you guys give me a list of gel type deorderants? Thanks in advance.

Even gel type deoderants can have aluminum. You have to buy a natural brand, as they have NO aluminum. I find mine at wal mart or the health food store and they work just as well for me!

Certain Dri is the only thing that works for me. I also use Degree Clinical strength in the morning, the combination of the two gets rid of the sweating problem and no more BO!

The gal who does my waxing said that in her country, women with bad BO will hold a hard boiled egg under there arm pits for a while. She also suggested lemon juice but said the egg works best. Sounds strange, but desperate times call for desperate methods and eggs are cheap

Yay! One more PCOS symptom I didn't know about. This has not been a problem for me until I went of some of my meds. It seems that I have a new symptom every week now!

Time to go deodorant shopping I guess.

Does anyone know of one that's a pretty "mainstream" brand that doesn't have aluminum and works! I don't shop at Walmart and I really don't want to have to go to a special store for deodorant!

I haven't found any antiperspirants that did not contain aluminum... But if all you are wanting to do is control the stinkies, then you have lots of natural options for deodorant... Tom's of Maine lasts me about 8 hours before I start to notice any funk.

Certain Dri!!!!! It has changed my life and I have not been self conscious about my sweaty underarm spots since. I've been using it for years and I recently started to go without for a few weeks (one application lasts for a couple days) and noticed that it has improved my overall sweating.

I had this problem too but I use this anti persprint from the dollar store call Timeless. I got it because it smells good but it also works for me.

I honestly never had a problem with perspiration, until I had a miscarriage in late November. It's been RIDICULOUS...I was sweating profusely when it was 20 degrees outside! So, this year I have tried MANY different deodorants. A few weeks ago, I broke down and bought the Secret Clinical Strength...it works GREAT! As was previously stated, it does cost a bit more. Hope it helps! Good luck!

Another Lady Mitchum fan here! It's the best deoderant I've found to really reduce the sweating. I've heard about some of the side effects of aluminum in deoderant, but I'm nervous to try a natural deoderant. My problem isn't so much the BO, its the sweat. Guess I could give it a try, and just watch what shirts I wear so I don't have sweat stains!

I'm not sure if anyone is seeing a dermatologist but if you are yu can ask about Drysol u put it on after you shower at night then wash it off in the morning and that should take care of it, I personally dont have any problems with that but my BFF does and she lives by the stuff.

Also if it gets to the unbearable point you can also get injections of I believe botox under your arms it stops the perspiration I know women who get it along their hairline because they sweat too much. Not the first choice but options
