I was wondering how people have done with the shot? I cant take estrogen so my choices for bc is limited. How were side effects and periods?? Any info would be great before I try it out! Thanx!

OMG, BAD!!!! IMO it caused my PCOS, or at least brought it on overnight and worsened what "might have been" by at least 10000x. Acne, rages, fat, balding, you name it. And although AF stopped completely on it, I bled for four months solid after my last shot was skipped. AF has not been normal since, either, without treatment.
Ugh, ugh. If you are just looking for birth control, you might try an IUD. I had the copperT for 8 years and it did well by me. The only reason I'm not doing it again is I'm gonna try the Nuvaring when done BF, cause my AF is crazy and I'm sick of her.

I would vote bad, too! I know WAY too many women who have infertility issues after going on depo. I only know one person who has been on it without negative effects, but I have heard way too many other bad things about it to even want to contemplate it.
