I started on this med almost 2 years ago. It had just been released. It's done miracles for me. I fear the day when i have to get off it for some reason.
I take additional calcium to offset the bone density loss. I havent had a period in 2 years. I have occasional break thru bleeding but I take an estrogen pill to build back up my uterine lining and stop the bleeding. I used to have nonstop bleeding, migraines, stabbing pain in my ovaries, horrible acne, etc. My life is 100x better now with this stuff.

Um, just make sure you have regular paps on those meds, as docs don't usually give estrogen by itself to people that haven't had a hysterectomy. And do weight-bearing exercise (walking, etc but not swimming or biking) to build bone density.

IMO depo caused my PCOS, but to each his own...I seem to be doing ok with Nuvaring so far.
