Depression.....

I found out yesterday morning that I have PCOS....which makes me very depressed. My DH and I were just getting ready to try and start our family.
I don't know what to do....I've cried....and I've been so mean to my DH.....I guess I'm just lashing out.
My sister just had a baby....which makes it even worse for me since I won't be able to have one any time soon.....How do I get over this.....

I'm sorry you're going through such a terrible time - our hearts and our arms are open and welcome you to SC! Please know that you are not alone, there are a lot of cysters here who know exactly how you're feeling right now - myself included.

I hope that in the time since you have posted you have read some of the many success stories of some of the cysters here - if you have not, then I can only suggest that you do... For me personally the inspiration that I have gotten from reading some of their stories has not only given me knowledge, but they have given me strength as well.

I wish you the best of luck - and I look forward to reading YOUR story too!

Our arms wide open...I know how depressing it can be to hear the actual term PCOS...but Im glad that you have found us!!!

Esp with you and DH wanting to start a family I can only imagine hearing the term PCOS was totally devasting....I was in the same boat 2.5 years ago...in fact that is how my DRS started linking all of my symtoms together when I had my first miscarriage....and now I have a beautiful healthy wonderful little boy...

There have been so many successes on this board alone...dont give up hope!!! And know that you are not alone

You may want to check out the TTC boards too there are alot of great women there who Im sure would love to get there hands on a "newbie".....

Welcome! I am new here, today is my 1st day. My name is Sherrie and I was diagnosed in Dec 04. I became a bit more depressed after the diagnosis also. For me, it was "will I ever have a healthy baby?" We've been trying for 6 years. I think it's natural to worry and get a bit depressed. But a friend told me today that this place is awesome! So I took forward to the support--I hope you do too girlie!
