I had a 19 week loss just two weeks ago. I was perscribed some medication called luvox.
I long does it take to work. In a sense my anxiety has increased. I want to go off the medication but the tharapist wants me to continue to see how it goes.
Tasha,
Welcome to Soulcysters. I'm glad you found us here.
I haven't taken luvox before. I take prozac, and it took a couple weeks before I saw the full results, although I began to feel some better before that.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I'm glad you're seeing your therapist, and I hope you feel better soon. We are here for you cyster
Hugs
Jenny

I will tell you that I was on prozac when I conceived and continued throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding. I believe it helped me to enjoy my pregnancy and definitely helped me through the post-partum depression I experienced.
Hugs cyster, I'm here for you

Hi! Welcome to SC.
Do you have OCD?
Luvox is usually prescribed for OCD, but I guess has helped depression too, just not usually the first line of TX for depression....
At any rate, glad you're here, hope you feel better soon
Isn't there a med you can take while ttc that would help you out?
My doc said there are things he didn't want me taking while I was ttc/pregnant, but prozac was OK. Of course it's better not to take ANY meds while you are pregnant, but if you get sick and need an antibiotic, you would take it because it would help you (and baby) to be healthy. I feel the same way about my prozac. It helped me to be a healthier mommy. So in our case, meds are OK because we would be unhealthy without them. I didn't have any problems w/ the prozac, in fact I still take it.
I know when you're feeling that way it may not help to hear it, but you're not a failure. I know you're not because you're already working on taking care of yourself and your baby-to-be. That takes courage.
Please feel free to PM me or email me too if I can help.
Hugs to you
Jenny

I am feeling anxious being in the house without my husband at home. For some reason I feel my anxiety first thing in the morning and it gradually fades. I don't really want to face each day I guess. I find it hard to eat too. I want all my pain to go away.

Tasha,
:Hugs hun: I feel for you, what you're going through. I'm here whenever you need to talk. Don't be afraid to ask your doctor or therapist if you need additional help, to me it's a sign of courage to seek help when you need it. And your cysters are here for you too.
Hang on cyster, you're getting through this day by day.
I'm here if you need me anytime
Hugs
Jenny

I went out for the first time by myself today. Drove the car. Later on we are going out for dinner. Havn't done anything socially for weeks. It will be a big step for me.

Hi Tasha,
So glad to hear that your dinner went well. It's so nice when someone understands! My best friend (in real life) has PCOS and depression too and she is a great strength for me. And of course all the ladies here are too.
Hope today is a good day
Hugs
Jenny

Hi Tasha! I know about the depression and the anxiety, I have Social Anx. really bad, or I used to. I have gotten better with controlling it, but I have to do things like, go grocery shopping at 24 hr stores so no one is there, and such..if you'd like to talk, you can send me a PM. I think we could relate alot ^.^
