Red face Depression Medication

Hi,

was just wondering if anybody else has taken Lustral for depression, my dr has prescribed this but not sure whether I want to go back on anti-depressants again!!!

If you're concerned about the medication, it's a good idea to discuss it with your doctor. If your doctor's not able to explain things well enough for you to feel comfortable with, you may want to seek a second opinion.

Hi Lou,

This is one of the few antidepressants I have not taken, although my son was helped by it. (For the Americans, this is sold as Zoloft in the U.S.)

Only thing is I've heard it's a hard one to wean from... must be a short half life. Just make sure to take it the same time every day. Hope it works out for you!

my doctor has just prescribed me mirtazapine...it's suposed to be a very low dose..
I will let you know how it goes!
It's for depression and anxiety.

My doc has asked me to take PROZAC which is the most studied anti-depressants in recent times. I have'nt yet taken it though.

I'm a long time user of Effexor for my anxiety/depression. I've had great success on it, unless I forget to take it. Like most of you, I hate having to take anything that messes with my brain, but my doctor feels it's necessary and I sure feel a whole lot more human on it!
