Question depression and pms

Hi Ladies,
I'm having a rough time. I've been off of paxil now for about six weeks, and I'm doing great. The problem I'm having is, I get depressed about a week before my period (i know a lot of women suffer from this). But I'm scared of being depressed, I hate feeling down, I have irrational thoughts (like no one loves me, etc). I just don't know how to deal with it. I can't stand to be around anyone, because I'm moody. and at the same time I want to be with everyone!
Knowing how I was before I started medication and how much progress I have made, it just really scares me to feel this way again.
So if any of you have any advice I would greatly appreicate it. I know it will pass, but How do I cope with it during...
Thanks in advance.
Debs

If you scroll down in this forum you will see I posted the exact same question. But there was no one with an experince so no help there!

I too get depressed before af comes. and the first time it happened after starting anti-depressant meds which was just over 3 weeks ago, it scared the hell out of me!!!! I was so scared of feeling that way. But I decided to just give in and believe that it was just af on her way! And sure enough 2 days later af was here and I felt alot better! I totally know though how scary it is to go back to those feelings after you have been feeling good!

Best of luck!!

Smile thanks!

I thank you so much for your reply. It's rough, I'm not used to having pms, and it's so hard to get used to. I'm glad that I'm not alone. If I hear of any tricks to fight it off, I'll let you know!
Thanks, Debs!

I also get depressed before af. I've been taking extra vitamin B-6 and calcium, which has helped a lot. I try to exercise as much as possible, but I also try to relax a little and eliminate whatever stress I can.
