Unhappy Depression Strikes Again

Well I had my Visit to the Dr.s yesterday to get the final results from all the test's i have had. (Endometrial Bisopsy, Post Quoital, HSG) And the Final Answer.......You will never concieve naturally.. The only hope for me and a baby is invetro.. Or adoption. My husband does not understand why i am so upset he says the dr said invetro will work and i said its still not the same thats like telling me im not a women. He doesnt understand why i feel that way but he has been VERY supportive and comforting.
Has anyone been told by the Dr. That they will not convieve and then Proved the Dr. wrong? Has anyone had success with invetro on the first try? My Dr. said it will cause 10,000.00 a try but my insurance will cover Half the caust. That is still a lot of money when he says its only a 50/50 chance of working.. I need advice from my Cysters.....

Micah

I was told by one doc I wouldn't conceive with injections. I went to another doc and she thinks I will be able to get pg on just metformin, or met with Clomid...

I think you deserve a second opinion...

Firstly - HUGS! I hope a miracle happens for you as it did for me, it took 10 long years but my first son was conceived naturally and out of the blue, as I believed myself infertile according to drs! (I have enough experience with drs now to have no faith in their opinions anymore!). When ttc #2 for another 2yrs we saw a fertility specialist, and after more tests we were informed we were both sub-fertile, and the male factor was also sub-standard - hmmm! At the very appt when we were told this I did not know I was already 4wks pg, and presto baby number two arrived this April. While my second child does have a cleft lip and palate which is genetically linked to DH's side and probably relates to the abnormal sub-standard contribution on his side, we still both proved that we could indeed have children without medical intervention, and do you think my drs were surprised - lol!

Hold on to hope, and remember that even IVF, although not the "natural" way, will get you what you want the most. We all want the natural way, but instead I got two complicated pg's and complicated c-sections, I still grieve the natural birth I desperately wanted but at least I have my beautiful boys!

Lots-a-luv,
Tracey!

Thank You all for your kind words of hope. You don't know how good it feels to read there is some hope. I will continue to chart my cycle and make sure we are doing the deed so to speak on ovulation.. Thank you again and again..
