Depression-fertility connection I was shocked when my doctor told me a couple of months ago when we were discussing depression, that if I opted to take an anti-depressant, I might end up pregnant. Their office is finding that when their patients don't respond to fertility treatments within the first few months, they do a work up and find that most of them are also suffering from at least mild or boarder line depression if not more. They stop treating "infertility" and start them on an anti-depressant, (usually Wellbutrin or Zoloft) and their patients end up pregnant.
In fact, the other thing is that for some time doctors have been thinking the depression comes from infertility, when in reality it is the opposite, infertility is more often the body's way to prevent further stress on the already depressed body...
SO, what I'm getting at is that going on an anti depressant of some kind may be the ticket to helping you get pregnant... Hope that helps you on your journey...
