I find I get more depressed before bed time???? anyone else? Before it used to be mornings, i'm confused. Maybe it's because I am exhausted by the time I go to bed.

I seem to get worse towards the weekend. I can't explain it but I get really low and the black cloud comes back on a Friday evening...I don't particularly enjoy my work, and I really love the weekend because I get to stay up later and have nice long lie-ins but I never seem to enjoy it because I am depressed and feeling crappy.

I find rainy Saturdays (because it reminds me of the day) and nights are my worst. I am generally ok in the morning but all the stresses of the day or just having spent the day knowing how different it would have been with Sarah still here, all accumulates. Not to mention I dont feel like I can show my true emotions when DH or DD are awake and have the possibility of walking in on me crying... I would have to say nights are my worst. Thankfully not EVERY night anymore... but still 3 or more a week *sigh*

i think it may be because i lay awake a
for about 20 minutes and that leaves me too much time to think about stuff!

I'm worse in the evenings too. Especially when it's dark and/or miserable weather. I'm so low in the evenings I can't leave the house. I did read somewhere, perhaps on here, that certain hormones drop in the evening and can leave you feeling low
I am much worse at night. When everyone is in bed I can no longer run from my own thoughts. I have to look at what I am feeling. I stay busy during the day, but nights are soooo hard. I think that I also end up feeling very lonely at night and all of the things come up that I keep inside and I long to spill to someone but won't trust enough.
I am thinking I am really lacking sleep, since I have felt pretty good the last 2 night because DH got up with our new puppy and let me sleep. he could see it was wearing on me. Also around af time depression sometimes but not always gets worse.

If im depressed usuall its in the evening, I think its because my meds are running down for the day.. and such.. and it seems like i usually take my meds about 4pm 5 pm.. but it takes about 1 or 2 hours. .before im back to normal..
Good Luck!

All the time. I read recently in a Stephen King book (ok yeah I know, not exactly the place to go for inspirational messages...) something that touched a note in me, probably not a good one. but here it is.. out of the book "Roadwork"
"..And if a collection of bad cells no bigger than a walnut could destroy all those things, those things that are so personal that they can never be properly articulated, so personal you hardly dared admit their existence to yourself, what did that leave? How could you ever trust life again? How could you see it as anything more meaningful than a Saturday nigt demolition derby?
All of it was inside him, but he had been honestly unaware that his throughts were now changing him so deeply, so irretrievably. And now it was all out in the open, like some obscene mess vomited onto a coffee table, reeking with stomache juice, fulled with undigested lumps, and if the world was only a demo derby, wouldn't one be justified in stepping out of his car? But what after that? Life seemed only a preparation for hell."......
So much of this fits how I see things now it is scary.
