Default dermalogica

Has anyone tried dermologica? What kind of results have you had?
My acne has gotten sooooo much worse since I went off BCP, and completely stopped responding to any of the things that had been working to control it before. Dermalogica was recommended to me, so I bought the travel size kit to give it a shot. I got the normal/oily kit, (that's what the esthetician recommended) because even though I have acne, I also have dry skin and a lot of acne products are actually too harsh for my skin. I'm going to faithfully use this and then see what my skin is like when I run out, but I'm anxious to hear if anyone else has had good results.

Okay. Well, FiestyShamrock, I'll keep you updated! Maybe someone else has had experience with it, and just haven't shared yet! I will say, no new bumps in two days, which, at the rate I've been going is pretty good, and they look less inflamed, less red - easier to hide. We'll just wait and see, I guess!

Dermalogica dermal clay cleanser used to be great for me during my 20's when I was on BCP. I've had acne issues for well over 10 years. However, after stopping BCP ( I took it for 9 years or so), I had terrible acne for 18 months till I started MET. During those 18 months off BCP and no MET, I used Dermalogica for around 4 months and it didn't help me although it felt delicious on my skin. I couldn't really see any results so I started trying cheaper products.

Cut to my last dermabrasion session this year and the person gave me samples of the Dermalogica MediBar clearing range..Steps 1 (clearing skin wash), 2 and 3 (mattifying moisturiser). I must say...the samples felt fantastic and no breakouts..but my samples only lasted 2 weeks, so I'm back on other stuff.

It also didn't help that when I was using my Dermalogical samples, I was recovering from 6 weeks of using this awful Garnier Pure facial cleanser which really messed up my skin!

So, I think that Dermalogica has great products and will work for some people with some kinds of acne, but if it's really to do with hormones...I'm not sure that even Dermalogica will really help. Could you ask if the MediBac clearing range would be good for you? I also have a lot of dryness but they still gave it to me to try.

K well I just tried to post in here and I couldnt find it afterwards so if its posted twice- oops!

Last night I got totally fed up with my skin. The last couple of months my breakouts have been the worst I have ever had, extremely painful along my forehead and temples. Today I went to Ulta and purchased the Dermalogica Medibac Adult Acne starter kit. The gal that was helping me advised me that if I felt like it wasnt working or didnt like it that I could return it as long as there is at least 3/4 of the product remaining and I could try something else like the Murad or Mario Badescu.
I hope something works soon because I am on a mission to have clear, beautiful skin for once! I took some pics so I could review before/afters.
Sorry for hijacking your thread!!

Best of luck Fiesty I hope it helps clear it up. Mine is pretty similar at the moment, as I've had a nasty breakout around my chin and jawline which is just persisting. It's a little weird as normally I have loads of smallish pimples on my cheeks and forehead, and those aren't so prominent now (sigh). I think my skin is still recovering from using Garnier Pure range (broke me out horrendously), so let's see how it goes with clearing up.

Thanks for posting the pics and I really am looking forward to seeing your results.
