Dermatologist Questions Hi all -
I've been cursed with bad genetics in regards to my pores. I have very large pores on my nose and ones on my chin that aren't much better. While I know I can't make them smaller physically, it's a constant search to find a product that works to keep my pores clear so they appear smaller at least.
I had a facial about a month ago and the estetician used some BioElements products on me that were amazing, and with the samples she gave me I've been able to maintain the clear pores. But, she also mentioned something about retina-a being a good option too.
I've never been to a dermatologist. My acne problems have never been so bad that I felt I needed to go. I get the occassional breakout but nothing horrendous. But, my pores have always been an issue.
Does anyone know if going to a dermatologist would be a good idea in this situation, and if it's something that would be covered by insurance? I'm worried that it would be considered cosmetic.
Is retina-a only available by prescription?
