Unhappy Dexamethasone

History:
27, 5'5'', 116 lbs, thin-PCOS, TTC

Round 1: Provera followed by 50mg Clomid 5-9: No ovulation
Round 2: Provera followed by 100mg Clomid 5-9: No ovulation
Round 3: Provera followed by 150mg Clomid 5-9: Late ovulation day 26
Visual problems (random bright lights, lights with "tails", blurry)
had a period without Provera

Currently Day 6 of
Round 4: Dexamethasone each night, 100mg Clomid 5-9, if I have a
good follicle I will get an hCG shot, followed by IUI

Questions:
Has anyone out there used Dexamethasone or hCG?
Did it help?

More:
I was so upset that I could not continue on the 150mg Clomid dose. After I told my doctor about the random bright lights that were appearing everywhere, she told me I could no longer have that dose ever again even though it did make me ovulate (ovulate late, so my husband and I missed the opportunity).

I asked about Metformin, and she told me that in her experience, Metformin does not help Thin-PCOS patients concieve.

Just searching out some opinions on Dexamethasone and Metformin with a 100mg Clomid regiment.....

Femara? She gave aromatase inhibitors as an option, but she didn't sound all too convinced that they would work. I think she said, you will find some literature out there that suggests the use of aromatase inhibitors, however, its not a hard proven rule that they work.
Are you on Femara? Is it working for you?

I actually got pregnant on dexamethasone + pregnyl (hcg shot to trigger egg release) and continued taking dexamethasone until week 10. That was in 2001 (our son is now 5 years old). I tried dexamethasone 2 x since but with it didn't do the trick. I would advise against using it at night as 1) it causes insomnia and 2) it makes you pee thus disrupting your sleep further. It is best taken with breakfast. I am not crazy about it and am actually just stopping it right now after 2 cycles. Please let me know if you would like to know more about anything related to it as I've made myself quite knowledgeable about dexamethasone :-). Good luck!

OMG! Is that why I can't sleep and I pee like a race horse all night long! I thought it was maybe the hCG...but ya, it is a pain. I'm so tired and so is my DH because I toss and turn all night long.

Let me ask anyone this. Do you have brown spots on your skin that started appearing while taking dex or clomid? On my hands, I have like 10 marker point sized light brown freckles that just appeared overnight, and now they are popping up on my right arm....I asked me RE and she said she had no idea, that she's never seen that happen before. Any clues would be appreciated!!
