What does this medication do and does it harm the baby if you become pregant. I'm scared for the baby, if and when I do become pregant???

Dexamethasone, a corticosteroid, is similar to a natural hormone produced by your adrenal glands. Which i guess it why you have it?? It says its often is used to replace this chemical when your body does not make enough of it.
I found this link if this is the medication you are talking about...it sounds like if you do become pregnant not to take it anymore but it doesn't say what effects can happen with it.

ive been on Prednisolone (same as Dex ) for years. Could you have a word with your pharmacist/dr to ask them? That way you'd know

Vickey,

Yes I have heard of dexamethasone. I began last October taking Met + Dex. My RE wanted me to try this for 3 months to see if AF would come on its own & before adding Clomid to the mix. Right at that 3 month mark AF did come, so I think the dexamethasone helped.
You know it's a steroid right? For the high androgen levels.

my doc gave me dex becuase i was allergic to spiro, goess it does the same thing?
