Default DH paraniod about side effects!

I started with met on friday.. 250mg and last night i had 500mg.

Dh has been so paraniod of the side effects, he keeps asking me, have you kept some sweets with you? last night he wakes me up from sleep to tell me 'honey, if you feel hungry, just run to the kitchen and eat something!!!!!!!!!!!!'

and this morning again..'have you kept sweets in your bag, incase you get hypoglycemic?' and i just said..'i will eat a spoonful of sugar from the coffee room at the office if i need to!!!!!!!!'

He CAN be cute sometimes!!!

I think it's sweet too. But tell him met tends to make hypoglycemia better not worse. If you're eating regularly, eliminating refined carbs and fatty foods and taking in regular amounts of protien, you shouldn't have problems.

Good luck with the drug!

Metformin will not make you go hypo, if it did you would have the ladies on here who aren't IR or not diabetic having hypo's.. If your blood sugar is low when you take you dose of metformin it may make you feel a little odd, but it won't drop your blood sugars into a hypo state. Nice that your husband is caring, but tell him he doesnt have anything to worry about..
