Smile DH Stories Here!

Feel free to add your own DH story, too!

My DH knows I have been feeling really bad about myself lately. I'm a housewife hoping to be a SAHM & a lot of people have been making me feel like I'm worthless lately. So, when DH comes home & sees I've cleaned house he goes "Hey, am I in the wrong place? It looks SO CLEAN! You worked too hard today!" I mean, it sounds like he's being patronizing when I type it out but he says it sooo sweetly & like he really really means it. The house is really not THAT clean but I know that he is trying to get the point across that he appreciates everything I do. It makes me blush even though I know he's going a little overboard with the compliments.

I my DH & I'm so thankful for the sweet things he does!

Talking Wonderful

That is so sweet of your DH. It is so nice to know that there really are men out there who appreciate their wives for who they are.

I am so thankful for my wonderful husband. He swept me off my feet the very first time I saw him. He made me laugh the first time we ever spoke, and I have not stopped laughing since that day. His support is what has helped me through the most difficult of times. We have had our ups and downs, but even as we worked together to get through a rough time recently, we have come away from it stronger, more passionate and more in love than we were before. My DH does the sweetest things...he surprised me at work a couple weeks ago to take me to lunch. He sings silly songs to me when I am having a bad day at work....like the theme to Dragon Tails (which our daughter watches constantly). He makes me feel beautiful, desired and sexy...even when I am at my worst. I am a very lucky woman and I thank God each day that he blessed my life with my DH.

Ok, I've got another I just have to share...

My DH takes awesome care of me when I'm sick!! We went to an outdoor festival yesterday & had so much fun... then when we got home I got terribly sick - that diabetic feeling accompanied by a huge migraine/tension headache that seems to love me so much. Anyway, like always, my DH was soooo sweet about it. He did a million things for me.... Can you get me water? I need my pills. Can you shut the curtains? I need the fan pointed at me. Could you get the washcloth wet again? ...what a trooper!! He rubbed my back the whole time too! He sacrifices so much for me!!!

My Hubby and I met when he was 16 and a half years old and I was 14!
I have always said that God made us for each other and not a day goes by that I don't give thanks to God for giving my precious Husband to me!
Now that he is a Dad to our 2 beautiful girls I LOVE him even more! He is such a terrific Hubby and Daddy and none of his girls would trade him for all the money on earth!!!

I am so very thankful for my DH. He has been so patient with putting up with all the testing we had done last year. Every month when I'm not pregnant, he tells me that it's ok if we don't have kids-even though I know he wants one just as bad as I do. One time when I thought I was pregnant but wasn't, he hugged me and told me that if it means anything he still loves me no matter what. I have type 2 diabetes and he is always reminding me to check my glucose levels, eat at regular times and to take my meds. He works 6 days a week and a lot of overtime so I can stay home and be a housewife and concentrate on getting my Associates degree. He has done so many wonderful things for me that there is not enough room to mention them all. I love him so much and am so very, very thankful for him.

My DH got me a present for our three year anniversary today.

It's a clock shaped like a baseball. When the alarm comes on, you turn it off by throwing it against the wall or bashing it on the floor!

Guess he knows me pretty well! I am very thankful for him!

This is a WONDERFUL idea for a post...

I am so happy that you girls have such wonderful husbands

I have to share as well....because I feel so blessed to have Salem, my husband in my life. Salem is the most amazing person I have ever met- sometimes I still can not believe that he chose me to be his lifetime partner, I just feel so blessed. Salem loves me for me- exactly the way I am...he is my best friend...he knows all about me and he loves me anyone....he is kind, caring, and he believes in me, even when I do not believe in myself. He is so supportive and he stands by me and rejoices in my happiness and grieves in my sorrows. I could not thank him enough for all that he is...but I will spend the rest of my life trying.

I too, am very thankful for my husband

^ This really got me laughing!!!

Does anyone ever have those freaky moments where you look at your DH & all of the sudden you realize that he is this HOT, SENSITIVE, WONDERFUL man & he is in YOUR bedroom!?! Where all the familiarity gets lost for a second & you just get a chill up your spine because there is this handsome man next to you & you can't believe it!?!

I love those moments

I know exactly what you mean i love those moments too. I have to put in a 'brag post' about my DBF even though this is the DH stories section DBF might as well be my DH! He's so great to me cares for me when i'm sick even over staying visiting hours deliberalty at the hosptial when i had my appendix out and carrying me when i hurt my ankle even though i'm quite heavy! He cleans the house more than i do!! (how many men do that?!?) and is currently working in a job he hates just so that we can have some extra income to pay of debt / go on a holiday. I think its really sweet if i get asthma in the middle of the night he will crawl out of bed half asleep and go get my inhaler for me or if i get scared at night he will always get up and check the WHOLE house before coming back to bed for a cuddle. Okay i'll shut up now glad you ladies all have great men too we are all very lucky

Wow, some of the stories brought tears to my eyes; reading all of those makes me think of a million things that I could share about my DH.

He is not only the love of my life but my best friend. He always makes me laugh when I am sad. But what I have noticed lately is how protective of me he is. And not in that crazy man jealous way. When I have a bad dream he must know, because he is always able to gently wake me up and sooth away my anexity so I get back to sleep. He also gets up about two hours before me in the morning, and sometimes I wake up to find him watching me sleep and brushing the hair out of my face. Later I have to ask him if he really was doing that or if I was dreaming. He tells me that he loves watching me sleep. What a romantic.....i'm mean i wouldn't watch me sleep....i know i snore and I am pretty sure I drool but he loves me. But what gets me the most is at night if I hear a sound that i probably nothing, he always gets up and checks it out for me. I can't imagine my life without this guy!
