Question DHEAS? Anyone know of a natural remedy for LOW levels?

Does anyone know of a natural remedy which can help raise levels of DHEAS?

Last year I was tested and it showed I was outside the range (very low) and I requested another test recently and the results came back today showing it to still be too low, although I think it is a bit higher than last year if I remember correctly (I was hoping it would've improved along with my weight loss and general health improvements).

Here are my results in case anyone needs to know:

DHEAS: 1.3 (range: 1.7 - 9.22)

My doctor said there was nothing that she could offer me although when I researched it last year I discovered that US docs often prescribe a low dose of oral steroid but I would not take that anyway. I do feel however that I should do something as I know that DHEA (produced by adrenals) is what keeps you from ageing and I figure that this may mean I may age too quickly if I don't address this problem.

Any advice would be gratefully received

Thanks Albaos,

I thought I read somewhere that some docs use steroid to treat low DHEA as well as when it is high, as I remember discussing it with my GP. I may be mistaken but either way you're right I wouldn't want to take it anyway.

Hope someone else can come up with something!

Don't weight lifters buy DHEA stuff at GNC and take it. I think its the same thing.

Mathisk,

I'm not sure if bodybuilders take DHEA but it would make sense I guess. What's GNC?

General Nutritin Center- Its a store here is US. Sorry about that. Any health food store would probably have it though.
