Is there anyone out there who has type 1 and type 2 diabetes? My doctor tells me that its very rare. She actually used me for some article she wrote working through Children's Hospital Boston where i used to go for my endo care. I have had type 1 for 11 years and 2 for about 8. I was wondering if there is anyone else who has both and how they regulate it. I recently started trying to lose weight and was hoping i could find a type 1 or both person who could give me some helpful tips or just someone to talk to so i don't feel like i'm the only one on Insulin and Met.

A good place to check out would be the Type 2 Discussion Board at the American Diabetes Association's website. There's a lot of traffic there and you will have a wider variety of diabetics seeing your question.
