Default Diabetes Symptoms

I'm STILL waiting for my doctor appointment to find out my test results. In the meantime, I've been doing A LOT of research about everything and anything related to PCOS.

Anyhoo......I was reading the symptoms for diabetes and it said (basically) that you're always thirsty and you pee a lot. How are these defined?

I drink about the equvalent of 20 8 oz glasses of water a day. I never really get thirsty because I'm always drinking...if I don't I feel kinna dehydrated (headachy, achy, sleepy). And I pee about twice an hour. Is this abnormal?

I was diagnosed as being pre-diabetic in November.
I'm not sure how much I went to the bathroom but I am thirsty all the time. I often wake up in the middle of the night dying of thirst and can drink a whole 8oz glass without stopping it gets that bad.
I would guess that I go to the bathroom at least once an hour. It just depends on how much water I've been drinking.
I hope this helps a bit.
Hopefully you find out your test results soon, I know how hard it is to wait.

I have recently been diagnosed as diabetic. My symptoms were:
*extreme thirst, all the time. NOTHING could quench my thirst!
*Excessive urination. I would go about twice or three times an hour, seriously.
*My face felt flushed after eating a lot of sugar or carbs. I felt like I had a fever, but didn't.
*I got UTI's a lot....maybe from the sugar??
*Weight loss (not a bad thing...). my weight would fluctuate.
*EXTREME moodiness. (I chalked it up to the PCOS and PMS!)
*Grogginess/sluggishness in the early afternoon.
*taste buds changed. I craved odd foods and didn't want the same things I used to want. I'd drink a regular Dr. Pepper and it tasted like syrup.

I really hope this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me, as I am happy to help anyone that needs it! The women on this board have helped me so much!
