Default Diabetes T2 or just IR?

I was diagnosed with T2 this past April. I was just diagnosed with PCOS this September. Is it possible that I can simply just IR? Does it even matter?

My initial fasting glucose was sky high. :-( 4 month AIC was 5.7 :-)

I was wondering if PCOS could have made my intial fasting glucose so high?
