In my case, I was diagnosed with Type II before my cholesterol went up. My triglycerides were still in normal range only a week or so before my diabetes diagnosis but when they retested then just last week, they were high. Guess what I got this very morning, the PCOS diagnosis! The cholesterol and PCOS are connected, as are the PCOS and diabetes but I'm not sure if cholesterol and diabetes are. You should definitely get your doc to check your blood sugar if you feel the need....and it could save you a lot of trouble down the road, trust me!
