Hi all!! My name is Courtney and I am 27 years old. My dh is James and he's 24. We have been married for over 3 years but TTC for almost 5. I seeked out medical help in March of 05 right after we got married. I decided to wait a while before doing meds. I had already had 2 miscarriages by September 2006 when I decided to do the meds. My OB/GYN at the time diagnosed me with unexplained infertility. She told me to lose 50 pounds. She then put me on Clomid. I took just Clomid for 5 months with no effects, even though I did produce some good follicles. I then did three rounds of Clomid and Injectibles with IUI. I did not respond at all in the first two months. The third month I concieved, but it ended in another MC at 7 weeks. I decided then that I had enough of the drugs. I stopped taking them. In Feb. 2008 we concieved on our own but it ended in MC too. I went to talk to my doctor and she basically told me if I didnt want to lose 50 pounds she wasnt going to help me. She also told me I had PCOS and had it all along and she knew but never told me because she wanted me to lose the weight. I felt sandbagged by her. She was rude at this visit. She basically told me having mc's was my fault for being overweight?? I decided to switch doctors. My new doctor is amazing. I love her to death. She did a full detailed work up on me. She called me today and said everything confirms the diagnosis of PCOS. So I am starting Metaformin today. So after almost 5 years of trying and 4 miscarriages, I have an answer. I heard about soulcysters from idob.com another group I used to be on and from another member. Thanks so much if you read my book of a post!!!!
WOW. I'm glad to hear you switched doctors! What kind of doctor witholds a diagnosis?! That's some BS!! I'm sorry to hear about all your TTC troubles & hopefully now that you have a new doctor things will be well on their way for you to have a little one.

Thank you guys. It was definatly a hard choice because I had been with her for so long, but at my last appointment her attitude was just horrible. It's amazing to me tht someone can act like because you are overweight you dont have the right to be a parent.
