Diagnosed today, but do not have all the symptoms... Hello!
I am so happy to have found this site, but I am still in a little shock from the news I received today. I am 25 years old and I received the results from my CT scan and my doctor said I have small cysts in my ovaries and my ovaries are larger than normal. He said it is likely PCOS, but took a blood test to check for higher levels of testosterone. What concerns me is that I do not have many of the symptoms of PCOS. The reason I got it checked out in the first place was because two nights in the past 3 months I woke up with severe pain on my lower left side. First they thought it was kidney stones, but the CT showed the cysts. But I do not have issues with my weight, I am very thin. Never had problems with darkened skin patches, or increased facial hair or high blood pressure. The only other thing that may point to PCOS is the higher level of cholesterol because today my doctor told me it is a little higher than normal.
What I am wondering is, are there others out there that do not have weight problems or any of the other things that I do not have? And do others also get pain in their ovaries?
Thank you for any help you can give me... |
