Can someone tell me what "Diane 35" is and what is it used for? I see allot of ladies taking it but I don't know what it is.

It is BCP and not available in the USA.

It's actually classified as an acne treatment. I think Yasmin is the equivelant of Diane 35 in the U.S.

Diane 35 (also known as Dianette) is available in Europe & Australia but has not been approved here in the US. It is prescribed for birth control, for acne and is also very effective for excessive hair growth. It is a high dosage pill but proven to be highly effective for PCOS symptoms. Yasmin, which is available in the US is similiar but contains different levels to Diane 35, however it is also widely prescribed for PCOS and is also effective. I have been prescribed both with successful results. Personally Diane 35 works better for me, but the difference to my body and life by taking either of the pills, Diane 35 or Yasmin, has been huge & absolutely brilliant! The changes in acne, excessive hair growth, weight control and regulating AF have been fantastic. Best of luck to you, I hope you have the same success. Take care.

I want to be on Diane 35 but I have bleeding problems and I am on a higher dose pill to keep it under control. I took Diane last year for 2 cycles before starting clomid. It says acne treatment on the box and it was billed to my insurance as an acne treatment. My good friend who has PCOS took Diane 35 for 6 months before TTC and was successful almost immediatley after coming off Diane. She did this twice and conceived within 2 months. She is pregnant again but didn't do Diane this time around because she has severe high blood pressure and her doctor would not allow her to be on any type of birth control. In some of my other forums for PCOS, many of the girls that live in the U.S take Yasmin and are happy with it.
