I have gained a few pounds on Diane 35, but it's nothing that is not preventable from not overeating. I think it's mostly water retention.

I have lost weight since going on Diane 35. I've used it for 2 months and have lost 15 pounds. My guess is that because my testosterone levels were so high; they're now balancing out and my metabolism is coming back to life. However, I also exercise 3-4x/week and use The Insulin-Resistant Diet book as a guide for eating. But I definitely never got bloated or retained water.

I gained a lot of weight on this pill. I was eating healthy foods and was going to the gym every week. I then changed to Desogen (due to feeling very depressed on Diane 35 plus not being able to control my weight!) and lost over 40 pounds within a year, which was great!

So for me, the combination of weight changes and depression made Dianette no good, but I know it can work wonders for others. I have always been told it is not a long-term pill though, so 3-9 months is really all you should be on it before you are put on another anti-androgenic pill such as Yasmin.

I also found that my periods were very painful on this pill.

xx
