When my doctor prescribed it to me about 9 months ago said it's what she generally starts her PCOS patients on since it's the one she's found that gives the best results for managing excess hair, clearing up the skin etc. I was just unlucky that it turned me into a hormonal cow so she switched me to Yasmin after 3 months on it. But while I was on it it worked great, even better than what the Yasmin is doing now after 6 months.

when i was dx at 13 my OBGYN put me on diane35 straight away and unfortunately i couldnt take it at all! it made me so ill.i was absolutely pretified of it.haha.
the first night i took it i threw up randomly after waking up through the night.
i then tried it again and was sick vomiting for 4 days on it.so i gave up.
it is said to be the best for managing everything that comes with PCOS,particularly hair growth and acne...but its obviously a VERY strong pill and i deffinately could not take it.
i ended up going on microgynon (levlen ED) and didnt have a drama at all.it never made me sick.i had spotting between periods twice only.but that i think was having missed a pill or two at some stage.
i hope you have more luck on diane.

My doc says she gives Yaz to her patients (that's what I'm on.)

I wasn't having a loss of menstruation, just 35-45 day cycles with a fun 16 day'er thrown in for good measure. Yaz regulated them perfectly, hooray.

I was put on it for excess hair, I was supposed to be on it for one year but like Donna I also turned into a hormonal cow and stopped after 5 months
