Question On Dianne 35 - missing AF

I have been on Dianne 35 for just over two years. I have always had an AF - even if it is light enough to only need a panty liner.

I have missed AF this last month. Now three weeks overdue. I went to the GP this week - did the pregnancy tests (urine & blood), I am definately NOT pregnant. The GP told me to continue taking the pill, and if I don't get my next AF - then to come back.

Is that good advise? Should I be concerned about where AF got to? Has this ever happened to any of you ladies?

I'm on Yasmin, not Diane-35... But, I always miss one month out of the year, only having 11 periods a year. I've been on Yasmin for about 3 yrs and its been the case every year. I told my RE about me missing one month a year, and she said not to worry about it, that it was pretty normal to miss one or two periods a year with PCOS even on BCPs. I dunno why this is your first missed month after being on your BCP for so long, but I don't think its abnormal. Since you're not PG for sure, I think your doc's advice is reasonable.

I wouldn't stress too much over it. I don't mind missing one a year... I went nearly 2 years without a period before I was dx'd with PCOS and started BCPs, so... Only missing one month... no worries.

Default Want an update ...

too bad, your getting it anyway.

I had some bleeding last week. Then I developed a slight fever, so I went back to the doctor - he ordered more blood tests & an ultrasound. So I went home & made the appointments (had to wait the weekend for them)

At the start of the week I had the ultrasound, showed up an incomplete miscarriage. Turns out I had an "unviable" pregnancy ... I had a D & C later that day, and got the results a day ago.

According to the pathologist, a "chromozonal defect at conception".

So I'm booked back into the gyno, just have to wait the six months for the appointment though!

Thanks for the replies. And I am fine.

Oh, yes took every little tablet on time (between 7am & 7.30am) every day.

I did have gastro for one day though, I had gone out for the day with my mom shopping for a wedding pressie. We had a milkshake each with our lunches. We both got ill.

So I'm assuming that one day of gastro, was enough to put things into a "different gear". I'm also on met, have been for around a year.
