I was taken to the ER Friday afternoon after having several right side abdominal pain... the pain actually shot down my leg.. After about 3 hours it let up a bit. They did CT scan and saw that all of my organs were fine. However, I had an ultrasound today and was told that my uterus is REALLY enlarged.. Does anyone know what this means. I am not trying to get pg and my husband is fixed anyway... but why would my uterus be enlarged???

Do you have a follow-up booked with a GYNO? I'm not sure why or what an enlarged uterus would mean (assuming they saw no growth on the u/s).

Two conditions that I know of that cause uterine enlargement are adenymosis and uterine fibroids. You should definitely schedule an appointment with your OBGYN to address this.

Yes, I am going to make an appointment today. Hopefully they can tell me something. From what I have researched so far, I have several of the symptoms of Endo. Hopefully that isn't what it is. Thank you,

I have adenymosis they will usllay make that digonsses on the fact you have a enlarged uterus .This is a good site

Thanks for that website, I hadn't seen that one before. I can send it to my DH, although we've known about this now for a few years (my symptoms actually started in my late 20's). It's still a great resource!
